About Me

I am currently a Research Geologist at the Planetary Science Institute, living in Cambridge, UK. Previously I worked at the Smithsonian Institution National Air and Space Museum, and National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC. With my research I'm interested in the ways we can use remote sensing of planetary surfaces to determine their history and evolution. Specifically, I study how a body’s interior, atmosphere, and changing orbit can shape its surface over time. These research interests have taken me to some pretty incredible places like Iceland, Japan, and Scotland. 

Having worked at national museums for almost a decade, I care deeply about science communication and public engagement. I have been interviewed in various TV, radio, and print outlets including National Public Radio’s Science Friday, Canadian Broadcasting Channel, BBC Radio, as well as in-person public lectures and museum seminars.
